The course will begin by addressing what rural development is and all the concepts involved, and then talk about rural tourism and its impact on sustainable development in communities and small regions. In this context, concepts and tools for business management, project management, and management of tourism services in the rural environment will be worked on.

Rural Tourism e-Classes aims to help young students, tourism professionals, rural producers, farmers, social agents, and anyone interested in knowing about rural development and rural tourism.

In the course, you will learn theories, practices, and methodologies. You will be able to take positive actions related to the homework and report deliveries for the course certificate issued by EXA Group Canada. The certificate is valid for monitoring projects associated with the acquisition of ESTour Seal developed by course participants in their tourist destinations.

Class 1: Rural development, characteristics, and concepts.

Class 2: Rural tourism. Concepts and the current international vision of rural tourism.

Class 3: Rural tourism and agricultural activities.

Class 4: The competitive advantage of rural destinations (example of Nova Scotia, Canada).

Class 5: The rural tourism product valuing the heritage of local history.

Class 6: Support Activities and Strategies management.

Class 7: Operational quality management and customer service.

Class 8: How to manage the safety, health, and well-being of the people involved.

Class 9: How to welcome the tourist and include all people in the process (emphasizing the inclusion of people with disabilities in the reception and labor market of the destination).

Class 10: Easy techniques to develop an excellent rural tourism project using the PMI methodology.

Class 11: How to awaken the vision of the future and strategic positioning in you.

Class 12: Learning to develop EXA Group Canada's tourism territorial governance model in rural communities.

Class 13: Communication and marketing management.

Class 14: How to create and sell tourist activities on farms and rural communities.

Class 15: Indications of how to act to develop sustainability with rural tourism.

The course will be broadcast live in English in the Rural Tourism e-Classes exclusive members' area of ​​the EXA Group Canada website for the first class from August 12-30, 2021, at 7:00 pm (Atlantic time zone – Halifax). And it will be broadcast live in Portuguese at 8:00 pm (Atlantic time zone – Halifax).

Classes will be recorded and will be available for public purchase 15 days after the end of the first class. The book and student reviews published on the blog will be available for sale after the first class.

The course is available in two different plans: the basic plan and the entrepreneurial plan. The basic plan entitles students to live online classes and read access to the Rural Tourism e-Classes forum and EXA Group Canada's exclusive blog. The entrepreneurial plan includes homework such as learning assessment with individual monitoring by the teacher to develop and execute the projects developed.

The student will only have access to the purchased online course. All extra material and recorded lessons are offered separately. According to company hours availability, the missed class will be replaced with the online replay during EXA Group Canada (Atlantic time zone – Halifax) business hours.

The course completion certificate will be issued to all people who purchase the course and complete 100% of the classes. The certificate for the entrepreneurial plan will give the person who took the course the opportunity to access projects and resources related to the EXA Group Canada Sustainable Tourism System and the ESTour Seal. ESTour Seal is the hallmark of the quality of the projects developed and managed by the company.

Rural Tourism e-Classes is a project developed by EXA Group Canada's 10 Year Countdown program and aims to bring technical tourism knowledge specifically to community leaders, young students and entrepreneurs, professionals, farmers, rural producers, agricultural workers, and residents rural communities. The Founder CEO of EXA Group Canada, Edmar Xavier, was a professor in the professional tourism course of the Projovem Trabalhador project, of the federal government of Brazil, in 2009 and 2010. He has given lectures and workshops on tourism, project management, and family farming since 2008. In his curriculum, he has a diploma in tourism, an MBA in project management, four years in law school, currently studying for a master's degree in tourism direction and consulting with a specialization in sustainable tourism. Fifteen years of professional career recognized and awarded nationally in Brazil for merit and talent in 2014. Edmar Xavier is a member of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia, and the Project Management Institute Nova Scotia chapter.

In this course, the student will learn the entire fundamental structure of rural tourism development in their communities and have the opportunity to have their projects developed and monitored by the coach. Develop a vision of the future and a critical position to define new rural development policies with sustainable rural tourism.
